Strategic Initiative:

Revise the current Day School economic model by engaging the broader community

NNJKIDS is the first program launched by JEFG to help address the financial challenges associated with Jewish education in Bergen County. Created in cooperation with community rabbinic leaders, NNJKIDS asks ALL members of the Northern New Jersey Jewish community to donate to a communal scholarship fund to support the scholarship needs of families in our community.

Approximately 25% of the total school population receives scholarships, totaling $7.5 million per year; that number has grown 30% over the past three years and continues to grow.

The ultimate goal is to relieve the scholarship funding burden from the schools and their current parent bodies and to expand the provision of financial aid to a larger number of families.
